A few comments about your recent contribuitions[editar]

Hi Teodor605!

Some notes about your recent activity in our project

  • e: when adding translations, we should "rebalance" the list, so that each half is the same length. If the number of translations is odd, then the right column should have one less row;
  • eller:
    1. our definitions do not take a period at the end, nor a semicolon; I know that in the case of this entry it was already like that, but I'm just letting you know for the future, if you encounter definitions ending in a period, you may take it out;
    2. the Referências section should come before the categories of the language it refers to;
  • Predefinição:NAOB: "noruego" is the name of the Norwegian language in Spanish. In Portuguese we say "Norueguês"; as we are changing the name of the language, I think we should use the new name (Norueguês Bokmål).

Thanks.

Thank you for your feedback:) The one about balancing a translation list I already know, so that was just sloppy of me. Some projects have a gadget for translations that lets you just point and click left or right to do this quick and easy. I will try to remenber what you said about periods or semicolon at the end of definitions. I like it best without myself, but I sometimes just copy something else and replace as neccessary. So I cannot promise that I will never make this mistake again... Will try to put the references section where you say. I think I might have copied from somewhere else here too:) As for the Spanish mistake I think I copied from somewhere else here too, without thinking much about it. Sorry about that. The NAOB template was pretty easy for me to copy from the SAOB template and replace as neccessary. However there is another dictionary called the Bokmål Dictionary and the Nynorsk Dictionary respectively. This template is more tricky because here you can specify if an entry is nb, nn or both. The dictionary offers conjugations in both language. Since that template could be both nn and nb I was thinking of categorising all Norwegian templates as Norueguês only. This is a decision I leave to you guys. Whatever you decide, there isn't going to be much work to do change them afterwards. I am not good enough at coding to start making this template myself. But at some point someone should. When that time comes I think it is wise to steal from either the English or French project. See here: https://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/Template:R:The_Bokm%C3%A5l_and_Nynorsk_dictionaries

Hi Teodor605!
Minor request regarding the indication of gender: instead of using {{f}}, {{m}}, etc, please use {{gramática|f}}, {{gramática|m}}, etc.
Thanks.

Yes, I noticed this one too. It wasn’t clear to me which one you wanted me to use and the visual effect was identical. Will use the correct template from now on. Teodor (dc) 13h55min de 15 de agosto de 2022 (UTC)[responder]

Hi Teodor605!

Now some comments about the comments you left in the summary of the entries:

  • Entry: bardehval
  • Teodor605: I like this way of simplifying the categories:) Didn't do it for Danish so as to not create too much reverting to do if you guys don't agree.
  • VJ: I have seen people do it like that, I personally don't like it, I prefer to have the names of the languages in full and not by using templates. But it is a personal choice of mine, not a rule to follow, so if you prefer it with templates, you may do so.

  • Entry: bardehval
  • Teodor605: Recategorising. Perhaps that is not a good idea at the moment since it may create a big chunk of redlinks
  • VJ: the creation of red links is inevitable considering the work we are doing; you don't have to shy away from it.

  • Entry: atomvåpen
  • Teodor605: I know this one will need further editing. The declinations should perhaps be split into nb and nn but I think that can wait. Perhaps the etymology sections will also now be showing strange results... I also think the manually edited categories should be moved to each relevant language. However, since p.t. they appear as Dano-norueguês and Novo Norueguês I don't want to start renaming these and ending up having a huge chunk of recategorising to have to do later.
  • VJ: Most definitely we will have to break up that template (and others that follow the same idea). I agree that the manually edited categories should be moved to each relevant language.

  • Entry: aprender
  • Teodor605: The translation section should have one entry per meaning. I assume the one existing deals with "adquirir o conhecimento de" but I will not add any "De 1." yet.
  • VJ: I agree that there should only be one entry per meaning in the translation section, but that unfortunately is not always the case.

  • Entry: eller
  • Teodor605: All right now?
  • VJ: Yes, it looks good now.

  • Entry: Predefinição:NAOB
  • Teodor605: Not sure if there should be a * before the {. I have seen both. Also not sure if em or no is the best pt translation of the English "in" here... I see both in other reference templates.
  • VJ: We use "em" and "no" more or less interchangeably in this case. I have even seen "in" (Latin, not English). I believe you missed the closing quote for the name of the entry (before the "no"")

  • Entry: Categoria:!Predefinição para referências (Noruego)
  • Teodor605: This cat can also be split up into nb and nn later. For now they might share the same category for simplicity. After all, they are both "Norwegian".
  • VJ: Most definitely it should be separated into nb and nn.

  • Entry: poço
  • Teodor605: Could someone make an English translation for section 2? I didn't understand that definition.
  • VJ: The second definition refers to the elevator pit, the area at the bottom of the elevator shaft.

  • Entry: poço
  • Teodor605: Not sure if you prefer the trad or the t template. The latter accepts gender directly in the template itself whereas the first does not I think...
  • VJ: Personally I prefer to use trad if the gender is not provided.

Hi Teodor!

More comments about your recent contributions:

  • bringebær: you don't have to put a space before or after the equal sign in the section headers;
  • jernet: our definitions don't take a period at the end;
  • kakene: you put "hagene" under the grammar class header;
  • jarn:
    1. when you use the template escopo, please provide the language code;
    2. the Etimologia section should be done with the template etimologia;
  • jarnet: missing the avi-for-fle template.

Thank you. Bringebær: I tend to copy code from other entries so if there was a space in that text it goes into my code too. Space or not I do not think the result is any different. Or? jernet> The period was already there and I might not always remember to remove it. This is probably a task that can be left to a bot to clean up. kakene: Sloppiness on my part. Copied from another entry. Corrected now. jarn: lang=nn entered now. Good of you to point out. Of course, I already knew this but probably didn't think of it. BTW: I think template should categorise the entry so that the [[Categoria:Química (Norueguês Nynorsk)]] wouldn't be necessary to add manually. Currently I don't think it does. jarnet: You are right of course. There's a big bunch of entries that are missing this template. Also a task for a bot I think. And it might also be possible to make a category of inflexions that are missing this info. Teodor (dc) 09h35min de 5 de setembro de 2022 (UTC)[responder]
I now see how to make the language code correctly in the escopo template. Then it also gets the category right without having to add it manually :) Teodor (dc) 09h47min de 5 de setembro de 2022 (UTC)[responder]
Hi Teodor!
Sorry to be a pain, but the language code has to come after the name of the template, like this:
{{escopo|nn|química}}
The entries for bringebær and jarn need to be reviewed again.

Translation without the language name[editar]

Hi Teodor!

In a case like this you should use the template xlatio. Like this:

* {{t|no|ovn|m}}, {{xlatio|no|stekeovn|m}}

Re: The Wikipédia template[editar]

Hi Teodor!

You wrote:

I have noticed that invoking the {{Wikipédia|lang=nn}} template directs to the Bokmål Wikipedia. Unlike at Wiktionary the Nynorsk community indeed
has a well-functioning Wikipedia site. I don't want to mess with that template so if you or someone else could take a look at it that would be great.

Yes, I had already noticed that problem, but I don't know how to solve it without breaking the other stuff where nn has to redirect to nb.

I'll eventually look into this to try and find a solution (if no other good Samaritan steps in), but right now I can't.

Hi Teodor!
As I mentioned before, I had added you to the page Wikcionário:AutoWikiBrowser/CheckPage, I did not know that I also had to add you to Wikcionário:AutoWikiBrowser/CheckPageJSON. This has now been done, see if it works.

Yes, thank you, now it works:) At least I am allowed to log in to AWB as a pt.wikt user. I will make a select few edits with AWB to start with just to see that it doesn't have any adverse side effects Teodor (dc) 23h08min de 5 de fevereiro de 2023 (UTC)[responder]
